“Life finds a way.” Ian Malcolm is a well-respected mathematician invited to Jurassic Park a financial consultant. He was meant to note any shortcomings the theme park might have in terms of security that may impact the island’s insurance rates, but more often than not Malcolm serves as the voice of reason to his group of skilled scientists that include the likes of Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant.
